ESTATE PLANNING &
BUSINESS PLANNING

Serving Arizona and Montana (Montana offices in Eureka and Whitefish open March 2026)

Hello! I'm Joel Klinge, Estate and Business Planning Attorney in Arizona and Montana (offices in Eureka and Whitefish to open March/April 2026).

For over 33 years, I've been helping clients plan for the "what ifs" in life and demystifying legal jargon and complexities to ensure that my clients feel empowered and informed.

When working with my clients, I go beyond just the basic planning idea of "who gets what after I pass." My work encompasses a deep understanding of my clients' values, priorities and the legacy they wish to leave behind.

That's why I take an empathetic and compassionate approach with my clients, spending time understanding their needs, concerns and goals in organizing their estate, as well as the unique needs of their intended beneficiaries. We have open communication and address in plain English the complex issues that can arise when planning an estate.

I believe that estate planning is an opportunity for my clients to express their love and care and ensure that their wishes are known and respected.  It's about creating a legacy that reflects not only distribution of wealth considerations but also the values, memories and sentiments that are important for my clients and their loved ones. Think of it this way: your Will or Trust is the last communication you will have with your beneficiaries, so let's make sure this it is drafted thoughtfully and carefully for all who will read it.

The best part of my work is providing my clients with a sense of security and peace of mind knowing that their affairs are well organized to handle whatever life may throw at them and then ensuring a smooth transition when they pass on.

ESTATE
PLANNING

ESTATE PLANNING is a compassionate process that gives you and your loved ones peace of mind for the "what ifs" of life and the one life event none of us can avoid -- our passing.

A comprehensive estate plan gives you tools not only to assist you if you are alive but incapacitated, but it also allows you to effectively plan the distribution of your assets and to ensure the well-being of your loved ones after your passing.

Estate planning is a complex process with many layers that protects you while you're living and goes well beyond "just give it to the kids" at your passing.

HAVING AN ESTATE PLAN:

- means that you will not leave your loved ones and heirs with a complicated, costly and stressful mess on their hands following your passing.

- ensures that you make the decisions as to who gets what and when, not the courts or the laws of intestate succession in Arizona or Montana.

BUSINESS PLANNING for entrepreneurs and incorporating that business plan into an overall estate plan alleviates the uncertainty that can accompany the set up and ongoing operation of a business and what will happen in the event of incapacity or death.

Although this is a much smaller percentage of my practice, I work specifically with individuals and married couples (not unrelated third parties who are going into business together) who either already have an ongoing business or wish to begin one. I can advise on the issues necessary to effectively incorporate that business into the client's overall estate plan.

It begins with a deep understanding of the client's unique story, business vision, aspirations, challenges and the well being of the individuals and married couples venturing into the world of business ownership.

Behind every strategic business decision it's important to recognize the human aspect and how it impacts your overall estate.

MAKE DECISIONS TODAY THAT HELP SECURE YOUR FUTURE
